In-Character Information

Name:  Chun Li
Game/Series:  Street Fighter 3: Third Strike
Teacher/Student/Other:  Teacher
Canon Point:  After defeating Urien and rescuing the little girl
Age:  24
Grade Level/Class Taught/Job:  Gymnastics
Dorm or Living Arrangement:  Dorm

Personality:  Chun Li is typically a very upbeat and cheerful woman.  When she's not focused on something, she can be very easily excited and is always looking at things from a 'glass half full' perspective.  Those she worked with however, especially in Interpol, often saw a much different side of her.  Focused and determined, Chun Li puts her all into her work because it is something that she believes in.  Initially, this was her work attempting to bring down the criminal organization Shadaloo and bringing Bison to justice.  Now, with Shadaloo's destruction, she is focusing her same efforts on the next generation.  She feels that, if she can instil positive attributes in them through the martial arts, it'll lead to a better world.  Right now, she has about half a dozen or so adopted children under her wing.

Of course, this isn't to say that Chun Li's incapable of anger.  In fact, it was her anger and desire to defeat Bison that earned her the title of the Strongest Woman in the World.  Chun Li cannot stand when a person uses their power (physical or political) to subjugate and abuse others.  Her work in Interpol has unearth corruption on all levels, from the gutters to corporate high rises to foreign embassies.  She stomps them all out with equal ferocity.

As a young woman, Chun Li was always worried that she would never be able to avenge her father, though she was able to grow beyond that and become an agent far beyond him and able to do a lot more good than he was able to.  Now that crime fighting isn't her primary concern, her worries focus on the children in her care.  Having one taken (who she later rescued), Chun Li sometimes fears that some criminal may seek to get to her through the children.  And while she's clearly in excellent physical shape, she seems to not like discussing her weight.  Even in her Interpol file, her weight is listed as unknown.

Chun Li's identity as a martial artist is another integral part of who she is.  She was taught martial arts first by her father than later on by her father's friend, Gen.  Much like her work in law enforcement, Chun Li feels that her martial arts were a part of the legacy passed on to her by her father and so feels she should use it for what she feels are good, moral ends.  This is another part of the reason she decided to begin teaching martial arts to children.  What better way to create a brighter future than to make a lasting impression on those who will be leading that future?  Also, being a martial artist has very much empowered the already headstrong Chun Li.  Unlike in other areas, the martial arts was an area where your skill and prowess mattered most.  Rich, poor...man or woman....that didn't matter.  Everyone who faced her, saw her as an opponent to be respected.  Those who didn't quickly were shown the error of their ways.  For this reason, Chun Li feels that everyone should be given the chance to prove themselves and no one should be barred from wanting to do something for reasons like gender, ethnicity, or any other reason.  If they have the ability and the desire, that's all that matters.

Backstory:   http://streetfighter.wikia.com/wiki/Chun-Li

Chun Li was at her desk at work when she received the strange letter with the logo for Smash Academy on it.  Opening it, he read the letter closely.  A chance to teach in an actual school environment with special students.  Years before, Chun Li never would have considered the idea, but having been teaching her own children now, she saw the difference that having that guidance could make on a young person's life.  She gave the idea some thought and, the next day, she was mailing back her reply of acceptance.

Anything Else?:  Blood type: A, she has a soft spot for sweets, and her weight is a major mystery

In-Character 1st person sample:

When I read that this would be a unique experience, I can honestly say that this is not what I was expecting.
[There is a frown on the usually chipper woman's face and she looks a little green.]
Someone please tell me that the speedo dance isn't a regular occurrence.  If it is, I may just have to tender my resignation now and spare myself the torture of a second time.  [She visibly shudders at the thought before the feed cuts.]

In-Character 3rd person sample:

Moving through the lunch line in the school's cafeteria, Chun Li glanced over her shoulder at the extremely diverse gathering of students and faculty.  If she wanted to make a good impression on these students, it would only serve to eat with them in the cafeteria.  She didn't want to be seen as stuck up or anything of the sort.  Thinking back to her own high school days not so long ago, she giggled in amusement.  When it was her turn, she stepped over to the counter and started her order.

"I'll have a..."

Looking up at the rather large, furry creature on the other side of the  counter, Chun Li's mind was slowly processing the situation.

That....is a bear...ish thing.

She'd seen several much smaller creatures about the campus in the presence of some of the students and had heard talk of them as being Pokemon.  Most of them looked quite adorable actually.  This behemoth on the other hand....

Hearing a tapping sound, she looked down and saw a large spoon in the creature's large paw.  Oh right.  Lunch line.

"Um, I'll uh..."  Words seemed to have failed Chun Li, but fortunately for her and those waiting behind her, she managed to point at the item she wanted and the Ursaring spooned up some and passed the plate to her.  Walking down the line in stunned silence, the reality of her situation finally hit her.

What have I gotten myself into?!
